Floral Arrangements: When you receive your floral arrangement, check the water level. Add water daily, keeping the water level near the top of the container. You may want to add a clear soft drink to the water. The acid in the drink helps the stems absorb water and the sugar feeds the plant for longer survival. With fresh cut flowers, add floral food to a vase. Remove the leaves from the lower stem of each flower. Cut each stem at an angle, under running water, with a sharp knife so that the flower can "drink". Keep your fresh flowers away from drafts, heat, cold and direct sunlight.
Plants: Medium light locations are preferred by most green plants. To determine the amount of light, place your hand one foot above the area you've chosen as their home. You should get a distinct shadow. Moderately moist soil is best, and always avoid over watering. Always allow a watered plant to drain freely. Never let the pot sit in water. Ideally, most plants thrive at 70 degree days and 50 to 55 degrees at night. Occasionally use a house plant fertilizer.
